What is Sahale?

The name of our brewery comes from Sahale Peak,

a mountain in Washington State that

owner and brewer

Matthew Hofmann climbed

The word means "falcon" or "a high place"

While there are several acceptable ways to say it,

we pronounce it

 sah-HA-LA (rhymes with koala)
